Students Run Oakland relies on the hard work and dedication of volunteers from our community. We welcome new volunteers and appreciate your interest. SRO volunteers fill a variety of roles, including running with the students and operating water stops to support the students during their training runs. Participating as a running companion, you will help provide support, inspiration, motivation and respect. Additionally, SRO depends on volunteers to fill its essential behind-the-scenes roles. Please see the Staff page for vacant positions that need volunteers.
Please read the Volunteer Contract Summary/Fact Sheet, which contains important guidelines for volunteering. All volunteers must read, sign, and adhere to a Volunteer Contract, and they also must complete and submit a Volunteer Information Form.
